BSFwins Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I'm not embarrassed at all regarding this game. They are ranked #12 at the FBS level. They kept the starters in until this last series and went for it on 4th down. I'm not crying about it believe me! We are out manned at every position. There isn't a single player on our roster that could start for the Cowboys. We will be fine once we play in conference. Take our pay check and burn the video of this game. Would anyone believe Beaumont Kelly could compete with Southlake Carroll? Come on man... Quote
Guest LU 17 Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Red zone alert...it's not a zone read if you hand it off every single time. Run Kade run...he is running like a champ. Quote

LAZEEK Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 OK. I took the over and I could careless that I lost the bet. But WTF. Throw the GD damn ball. I know you haven't had very good pass proctection all night, but jesus. Worst fucking play calling I have ever seen. Act like you want to put some points on the board!!! LU got ball back with 7 minutes to go and you would have thought that LU had the lead. Just running the clock down. TERRIBLE!!!!!! Quote
puddin tane Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 That last drive was the drive of a QUITTER! Woodard musta taken OSU minus the points...the equivalent of kneeling it....everybody says we are better.....how? Yes I figured we get blown out, but I expected ray to try just a bit...hell, I think he was on the sideline, curled up in the fetal position, sucking his thumb on that last drive.....WE COULDA TRIED ...... puddin tane Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Well...I was looking for any reasoning for the play calling on that last drive.....pa-fricking-thetic Quote
LAZEEK Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 OSU did not leave their starters in. Did you watch the game? There backup QB was in in mid 3rd quarter. RB did not play in 2nd half. Only positive in my mind was that Harrington and Harmon had decent games, but they had about 800 rushing attempts between the two of them. The zone read was ran almost exclusively. Quote
LAZEEK Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 The only other positive was that last year I would have thought this game was going to be about 84-0!!! Quote
dirtybird Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 LOL. Stop your bitching, you sound like a bunch of old women. Now to be serious. We all new it probably wasn't going to be pretty, so why talk about it. Take the money and get home fast. Lamar just needs to stop scheduling teams the cant compete with. Quote
puddin tane Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 9 rushing plays on the last drive.....all up the gut.....makes me wanna puke Quote

Well, with that mentality maybe we should just schedule Oklahoma panhandle state every week or just drop football again. There is a big difference between losing and coaching like losers. I wonder what the ore game pep talk was like? Ray to team "ok boys, we all know we suck and we stand no chance. I only scheduled this game for a paycheck. So, don't worry, Kueck and I have your backs. See, our coaching is going to suck so bad we won't give tall the slightest chance to scored a touchdown much less win. Now, lets go out there and deep em under 100". (High fives everywhere) Quote
puddin tane Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Take the money and quit? Pathetic mentality. I figured we'd get slaughtered, score doesn't bother me, the ending did...7 minutes left and Woodard lays down! You good with that? 9 rushes up the middle? Can't even try to chunk it in the end zone? Quote
Guest Cardinalrule Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 That was A DAMN DISGRACE!!! But the whole frigging game plan (if you want to call it that) was just damn awful. Embarrassing, disgraceful, humiliating. Grow some damn balls for crying out loud. F/ING cowards!!!!!! Quote
coachacola Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 Last year they got blown out by average FBS teams (at best) so being down 31-3 at the half to a ranked team is an improvement. Turnovers are way down this year. Special teams are still a liability. Like the UCA game last year they choose to spend half the 4th qtr runnning the ball. At least our RBs don't fumble like last year. Defense played well but with no offense they will give up a lot of points. I give them a B- for the first half but a D- for the second half. Quote

Lazeek, you're right they didn't leave their starters in the whole game. But, I know the starting QB was in until the drive where the backup scored his first rushing TD of his career. I will gladly post the time that occurred tomorrow. Quote
geezer Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I was not able to watch any of this game so my question is what if any injuries did we suffer? Quote
puddin tane Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Woodard lost his balls with 7 minutes left....does that count as an injury? Quote
LUSportsFan Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Don't know how serious they were, but I recall injury timeouts for Ian Kelso and James Washington. Both left the field unassisted. Sent from my Android device using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Guest eagle eye Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 The fact is we knew we were going to take a beating but for a team to literally run out the clock is effed up. We should have been trying to score as much as humanly possible. It seems to me Ray was trying to hold the score down by running the ball. He sure wasn't trying to win. The last drive was a disgrace.
