November 3, 201312 yr Told ya you guys I was very impressed with your team last week, but I think some of you thought I was being patronizing ... I was very serious. I realize it's Nicholls, but I think you'll get the corner turned if you stay patient and let Woodard continue what he's doing. You can win out IMO.

Yea that's what happens when you miss a team meeting. And some of their replacement players looked pretty good. Sophomore David Holleyfield had a good night on Defense. Freshman O right guard, Bret Treadway had a good night. Lamar had him pulling to the left side a lot last night , blocking for Kade Herrington, Kade also had a very good night. Several other under classmen played well too, LOL, just cant remember all their names.
November 3, 201312 yr 56 points. Most 'ever' in a conference game. Berry was 28-37 for 329 yds with 5 tds. Doesn't get a whole lot better than that. Play calling was good. Run game was tough sledding so we passed to receivers, tight end, and RB's. Congratulations to Henderson. He made some big catches. Back ups step in and play with everything they had and it showed. For those who say winning a conference game is no big deal because you don't respect the competition, that is lame. Nicholls has had some nice outings this year and a conference win is a big deal. We won't win conference this year but we are showing improvement at last and that's kind of what we've been looking for, isn't it? At the end of the year they total up all the "W"s and "L"s and see where everyone falls. There are no style points. Do we get L+ for pushing SAM to the limit? No. Do we get an W- because we played Nicholls? No. I'm happy for the Cards and it's even more impressive considering the players that weren't on the field.

Now that we beat Nicholls, we deserve to be ahead of them but not NW State who beat UCA!! Also, according to the poll we beat a team that we were suppose to beat. A sure sign of progress is that we beat 1 or more teams that we are suppose to lose too!! AKA what SELA is doing this year in the second year of a coaching change!!!
