From David Berry:

Here are some noteworthy nuggets from Ray Woodard’s Monday press conference:

-From an injury standpoint, Woodard does not expect running back Kade Harringon to play this weekend. Harrington has a PCL injury, which Woodard called a, “2-3 week injury,” and Harrington has already missed one week. Expect a running back committee of Carl Harris, Mike Handy and Emmitt Raleigh again this weekend.

Woodard mentioned two injuries that occurred in the Texas A&M game, wide receiver Jayce Nelson (bruised ribs) and tight end Payden McVey (pulled groin). While Woodard did not specify whether they would play this weekend, he did say that the injuries weren’t thought to be serious.

Three players in the Lamar secondary that either start or give heavy contributions were not available last Saturday: Kevin Johnson and Colby Campbell never suited up, and Lloyd Julian went about a half before leaving the game. He expects them to ease in and possibly play this week. Campbell was never expected to play against TAMU because of a concussion he sustained.

Weather is looking like it might cooperate.

Just in case we are loading the ponchos in the van, but hoping the weather turns out like it did for the Grambling State game. That was great football weather for the end of August. In any case for anyone growing up or living in Southeast Texas, rain should not be an issue.

Looking forward to tomorrow night!

I'm sure our stadium will be packed on both sides for this gargantuan matchup. Better get there early for a good seat! :flush:
