eagle eye Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 It won't help the Cards in the beginning of the season playing 3 road games in a row. I'm not worried about Bacone at home but Baylor will be an ass whoopin and to come off that game and travel to SAM and SELA back-to-back-to-back is a lot to ask. After a game at home the Cards have to travel to NWS. Seems like Lamar could be road weary and possibly with a losing conference record with half the season gone. We hope to continue the success we had last year but our biggest question mark is at quarterback with Caleb Berry moving on to life as a graduate. Gotta tell you I'm worried. Quote
LUSportsFan Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 At least there is 12 days between the SHSU and SLU games. That will be a challenging stretch, though. Quote
puddin tane Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 At least there is 12 days between the SHSU and SLU games. That will be a challenging stretch, though. Its ts time for SELA to resume their position in the toilet, with Nichols st. Quote
coachacola Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 If LU gets blown out by Baylor, SHSU and SELA to start the season then I'm afraid attendance will suck the rest of the season. Quote
KABrother88 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 You may be right coach. To me the SELA is the early tipping point for this team. We don't know what SELA is without Bennett. I'm sure the recent success has brought in good recruits but the fact is the only game Bennett didn't start in the last 2 years was a loss to SFA. That being said the same can be said for us as no one really knows what we will look like without Berry & Roberts. If we could somehow come home from Hammond with a W then I believe our schedule is set up nicely the rest of the way. Quote
eagle eye Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I'm going the greedy route because I want a W in both the SAM and SELA games. I don't have too much animosity for SELA but there was a troll or two on the website from SAM that makes me hope we put a foot in their cocky arses. That's one reason, another is just enjoying the winning record from last season and I want to see it continue. A win in both games almost assures we will have another winning season and a shot at the conference title. Now, wouldn't that be sweet? Quote
KABrother88 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Can't see us knocking off Sam this year. They only lost 2 starters from last years team who went to the semis. On the road, the week after the Baylor beat down makes it that much tougher. I'd love for it to happen but just can't see it right now. Quote
