Since its return to Beaumont for the start of the 2010 season, Lamar has yet to win three consecutive games in the same year, but the Cardinals (6-3/3-2 SLC) will have that opportunity Saturday. The Cardinals will go in search of their third-straight win against Central Arkansas in Estes Stadium. The Bears come into the matchup with a 5-5 (.500) overall record and fourth in the Southland standings, just a game up in the win column over Lamar.

"Central Arkansas is a very good football team," said head coach Ray Woodard. "Making this trip even tougher is the fact that we have to play them at Estes Stadium, and these guys don't lose up there. UCA is going to be ready to play because they're coming off a tough loss. UCA probably has the best defensive line in the Southland, so this is going to be a very tough game for us."

Winners in three of the last four games, the Cardinals travel to Conway looking to win not only their third-straight game, but also move to 3-0 in Southland road games this season. If LU is to get that third win this week they will have to do it against a program they've found little success against. The Cardinals are 0-3 all-time against UCA, and are coming off a 26-24 heartbreaker last season at Provost Umphrey Stadium.
