The Cardinals will be playing the #13 (AP) Iowa State Cyclones tomorrow @ 7:00 pm (CST).

 

The Lamar Cardinals (2-4) enter the week with only one game on the docket, but it couldn't be a tougher opponent as Big Red travels to Ames, Iowa, to take on No. 13 Iowa State Tuesday.

My son and I are here with the team. Long flight in last night. But had a great breakfast and meeting this morning. Headed to shoot around now. Man it's cold, and still some snow on the ground.

I think Tyran picked up 2 early fouls. I noticed Hollis was playing and he doesn't get much playing time. Gregory has 9 points and 5 rebounds to lead the team, followed by 6 points from Bosha (2 3-ptrs), 5 points from Sears, 2 from Holliday.

What a great experience to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Cards fought hard, but way out manned by a team that made a deep run in the NCAA tourney last year. Foul trouble and turnovers really hurt LU tonight.

Losing to a top 20 team is no shame. One more road game and the long road trek will be over.
