coachacola Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Game starts at 6:30. It'll be televised on Root Sports. Quote
geezer Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Lamar down by eleven at the 9:00 minute mark Quote
geezer Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Halftime Sam Houston 37 Lamar 22. Lamar's usual problems for Lamar turnovers, three point shots made, free throws made and inconsistent shooting. Quote
geezer Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Lamar has allowed at least three offensive rebounds to Sam on free throws. That is really unacceptable. Quote
geezer Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Lamar creates enough of it's own problems but just listening it doesn't seem like the fouls are being called equal. Lamar had six more fouls than Sam in the first half and committed the first fouls in the 2nd half. Having watched Sam for years I doubt that they're not making contact on Lamar. Quote
geezer Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Sam out scoring Lamar by fourteen over the first eight minutes of the second half. Glad I can't watch it. Quote
coachacola Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 I had the game but couldn't watch it any longer. They just can't compete yet against the top teams yet, especially on the road. Quote
geezer Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Lamar's stats show how poor they played. One of thirteen from three point range, 45% from the free throw line, thirteen turnovers and out rebounded by 12. Just a very poorly played game. Quote
Sweet T Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 They competed against Indiana, but they did play poorly this game. I watched the game. The foul calling was not equal. A lamar player would go up for an offensive rebound and would be pushed so he misse d the shot and got the rebound and a foul would be called on him. Never mind, that the defender jumped on over his back. It got to the point where the players were afraid to play aggressive defense. One of our players got run over in the open court and a foul was not called. Quote
