de Lattibeaudiere named SLC men's basketball player of the week

Senior Tyran de Lattibeaudeire has been named Southland Conference Player of the Week announced league officials Monday afternoon. It is the first time this season that de Lattibeaudiere has received the honor, and the second-straight week a Cardinal has been honored.

 

De Lattibeaudiere was recognized for his efforts in Lamar's wins over Houston Baptist and McNeese State. The Kingston, Jam., native got the job done on both ends of the floor recording two double-doubles, and blocking a total of nine shots during the week as Lamar moved to 14-12 on the season.

(Update: He was also achieved another double-double in a losing effort against SFA last night scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He was the game high scorer and high rebounder last night.)

I have really enjoyed watching him play this year. I hope that Lamar is able to get more like him in the future. His effort is impressive. Great hands. Wish the NCAA hadn't messed him around and we could have had him for two years. Knight did get one recruit right.
