puddin tane Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Where is Lamar's run defense? Havent had one all year. Woodard:flush: Quote
cardinal Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Our defense has been bad all year and it has just gotten worse. Front 6 mauled as usual, poor tackling as usual. Quote
cardinal Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) If you want to set offensive records, play us Edited November 8, 2015 by cardinal Quote
cardinal Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Of course, 7 points in the second half by the offense sure isn't anything to brag about either Quote
bigcam2903 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Thanks for your GREAT effort Mr. Harrington, hopefully this downward spiral doesn't hurt your POY chances. Such a thrill to watch this kid play, even more interesting listening to his performance on the radio. I thought I had some head scratchers watching Ozen Football, Geez. Play Earp the entire game please!!!! Make a choice, I've clearly made mine. Lol Last but not least>>>> In Daddy News: Why didn't my boy play on Defense?? #20 I think he's Earned his playing time, even if he's a true freshman. Quit being loyal to these upperclassmen who aren't getting it done. I'm done with my Daddy ball rant  Come on LU!!!! Gotta finish strong Quote
puddin tane Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Where is Lamar's run defense? they specialize in trash talking and air tackling its almost 10:30....Woodard resign yet? Quote
cardinal Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I'm with ya on that! Let's see what someone else can do. And I'm with you on Kade. What a great athlete and great kid!! So much fun watching him run. Anyway, I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of #20 in the future! Excited to have him around for three more years...hopefully he'll help us get this ship heading back in the right direction. Quote
CardinalClaw2 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I was going get on here and voice my disappointment in this team but what's the point. This team is obviously not as good as I thought or hoped. I have no clue why they are not playing your son, he's obviously one of our best corners. Quote

cardinal Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Heheeeeee Oh, Earp...72 yard td run "thanks son, now go get back on the bench". If Kade isn't POY I'd like to watch/see the kid who's playing better. Quote
puddin tane Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Same song , different verse Nicholls (2-7, 2-5), which came into the game averaging 162.2 yards rushing, finished with 415. Tobias Lofton set career highs with 17 carries and 154 yards - including an 82-yard touchdown run Quote

Does seem like that's what was told to Earp. Lol As for Mr. Harrington, I'd hate to see someone else get the nod because his team's record stinks. Hopefully we can go with the attitude to finish strong & help their teammate get that POY award. He's such a Humble kid, I know he doesn't set out to prove anything, he just plays the game. He is worth TRIPLE the price of admission. Quote
eagle eye Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Kade is the best RB in the Southland and he deserves to be POY. Carson Earp is the best QB on the roster and the shoulder injury he suffered against SELA came about the same time Lamar's record started to go south. I can't believe we lost to freaking Nicholls. I was at the game and Lamar couldn't stop the run at all. It was like Abilene Christian all over again with Lamar being gashed time and again right up the middle. A season that held so much promise after getting by what looked like the hard part of their schedule. It looked like smooth sailing right into the playoffs. Then teams watched film and learned what was Lamar's kryptonite and beat them like a drum. Embarrassing losses to Northwestern State, Abilene Christian and now Nicholls have turned a golden goose into a big fat turd. The Cardinals couldn't stop the pass and when they tried to strengthen that weakness teams started running the ball on them. Damn, this is sad. I wonder if Mike blocked Nichols from his trollish posts because I can't believe he would pass up an opportunity to rub this loss in our faces. Damn, this sucks. Quote
LU Cardinal Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 The last two weeks are the worst 2-week stretch since the program was brought back IMO. I say this because of the promise the team showed earlier in the season and it all come crashing down versus a then winless Northwestern State followed by a Homecoming embarrassment to the historically worst program in the SLC. My how fast things came crashing back down to earth after that game in Huntsville. Quote
NorthoftheBorder Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Two things to say: How do you beat Sam and lose to Nicholls in the same year? And why is that we never get better as the year goes along? Quote
BigRedPecker Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Two things to say: How do you beat Sam and lose to Nicholls in the same year? And why is that we never get better as the year goes along? The first part can be answered by the last part this year. Quote

lustrong2 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Like I said after the Baylor game, 2 man show DO NOT WIN FOOTBALL GAMES. U don't spread the ball around n college or NFL u lose. It's simply. This is not pop-warner football. Kade is gr8, but that's only 1 player out of 11. Who else touches the ball besides Reggie. Kade avg. 8 yds a carry, good. Reggie avg. 9 yds a rec. All bad. Your favorite players don't avg. a 1st down on one play. Stats tell the hold story on offense. Your favorite receiver has the 2nd lowest avg. of all WR on the Lamar team. But who does Lamar target the most on reception #9. #9 gets target 10-15 times a game. Look at the other WR avg. 10- 20yds a reception. Don't blame the defense, they been playing better now than b4. We have no pass attack bcuz we play politics football at Lamar. Karma hurts when it reversed back to u. Records are good, but victories and wins are much better. Fordham University not worried about rushing leaders, they worry about winning football games. There second rusher at Fordham have over 500 yds rushing. They have 4 WR over 250 yds. That's team football. There record 8-1..Lamar dogout all its seniors on offense at the skill positions. To make way for there 2 favorite players 8 and 9. Look at the stats since u bring up Kade stats. Kade and Reggie are gr8 players but not enough to win ballgames. Don't blame the defense when the offense plays favoritism. Every player on the team knows what's going on since day one. Offense is ran thru Kade and Reggie, other players get the leftovers on offense. It's n black and white on STATS. I love Lamar, but check yourself not others. Quote
bigred360 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Sorry to disagree but the stats show we can't stop the run. NW State's second string RB ran for 300+ against Lamar. Nicholls had over 400 as a team versus LU. You can't win at any level giving up the that kind of yardage on the ground. Quote

They have been Swiss cheese all season. 400+ yards on the ground to Nicholls is unacceptable. That might have been the most embarrassing game I've seen since the rebirth. Quote

QB 22 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 As long as Dauphine pumps money in Their jobs are safe!! Isn't this his second attempt as defensive coordinator, seems like he was co before Bradley. It is amazing how people now see how pathetic their coaching is, I said this 3 years ago. Now I am off here again until These losers are gone!! Quote
lustrong2 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Oldtimer brianwash, Lamar score more points we win. Every time we play favoritism football we lose. Every time we spread the ball around on offense we win..Chatter mouth. I not saying our defense is gr8. There giving up less points now then b4. Offense not scoring enough points to win plain and simple. Southland conference is s high scoring league. Put up 40+ points u win, put up 30 or less Lamar loses. We won against Sam Houston spreading the ball around. We played Baylor good n lst half spreading the ball around. As soon as favoritism football comes in 3rd qt. Lamar sucks on offense. That's why our 2nd halfs sucks..We stop scoring and rely on our defense to stop and hold while we play favoritism offense. Learn real football, not Lamar backyard boogie football, where 2 players play on 5 arces of favoritism. It's not the players fault, its the offensive play calling. As far as open receivers, its take a few seconds longer for a player to run 20 - 40 yds down field to create timing open space, vs a 5 yd down and out or hitch play, or 6 yd down and in. Every WR on Lamar has drop a ball r 2. We have no pass attack bcuz the qbs are brainwashed to throw the ball to 1 receiver 75% of the time for short yardage. Quote
lustrong2 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Any team we play will give Kade 200+ yds, rushing if they take a WIN in return... Quote
lustrong2 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Good point about the gr8 money donator. If Lamar win games or win conference or even make it to playoffs. It would be nice if Lamar could bring money to the program by winning games, they have the talent, but the coaches don't utilize its players wisely... Lucky we have a donator to cover the coaches mistakes. Quote
