geezer Posted April 9, 2016 Author Posted April 9, 2016 Southeastern La holds on for a 2-1 win, so there is no change at the top of the conference standings. Lamar is technically in third at this point as they have played three less conference games but are one game up on Sam in the loss column and two games up over the fourth place team. Southeastern is in first place 2.5 games up on Lamar but only one game up in the loss column as they played conference games last week when Lamar played ACU. Quote
geezer Posted April 9, 2016 Author Posted April 9, 2016 Saturday games, both Southeastern and Sam win. Lamar up 2-0 in the sixth. Quote
eagle eye Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 14 straight! Nice job LU! Let's pull out the broom in the finale today. Quote
geezer Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Good news for the Cards at least to this point of the day. Lamar has battled back to take a 13-12 lead going into the bottom of the 7th inning. Both Sam Houston and Southeastern La have lost. A win would mean that LU and Southeastern are sitting with two losses and Sam Houston has four. Next McNeese who the Cards play next weekend has five losses along with HBU. Quote
geezer Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 (edited) Cards get two runs in the top of the 9th and close out the game with a 1,2,3 inning from Martinez to sweep the Islanders. Lamar is now even with Southeastern in the loss column but will show to be 1.5 games out of 1st place as the Lions have there non-conference weekend next week. Next weekend Lamar takes on McNeese at the Beck after a mid week game with Baylor. Edited April 10, 2016 by geezer Quote
eagle eye Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Make that 15 in a row! It was great that LU pulled out the brooms in Corpus this weekend! Let's go Cards whoop those Bears this week! Quote
