At the under twelve time out LU is up by 12 points as one would expect. Main negative is defensive effort as Nzeakor and Weisbrod both have two fouls.

Chatman and Noel are not suited up tonight due to minor injuries per the announcer.

2:32 left in the first half and Lamar is up by twenty. Lamar has had to go to a smaller line up as all of the regular forwards have two fouls. The fouls are from lazy defense in my opinion which if Price doesn't fix it will be a problem once the Cards get to conference play.

Halftime and Lamar is up by 28 points and 63 - 35. Even with the fouls on the forwards, the Cards are still blowing Arlington Baptist out as they should.

At game and Arlington Baptist is bad. Should not have scheduled this game. Lamar is playing bad & still winning by 28 at halftime. AB is basically playing no defense.

Final score Lamar 126 - Arlington Baptist 75. Cards end the game with nine of the eleven that suited up for the game in double figures and the other two players with nine and six points. As Skinny said AB couldn't defend the Cards, but there is no way that Price should be happy as the Cards gave up 75 points.

Bosha had 9 steals. He played well defensively, as did some of the other players.

Haven't they only had 3 feel good home games? They had a grueling road schedule. 2 kids had to go to the hospital on one road trip.

Just my opinion, Bosha is the exception to the poor defense, I agree he plays good defense and has a great ball awareness. The players I'm most concerned with on defense are the forwards, they appear to be picking up bad fouls reaching from out of position. There's no way that Weisbrod and Nzeakor should have picked up three fouls last night. Next and final home game makes four feel good games, I'm ok with one or maybe two.

I agree. They also need to pass the ball when they dont have an opportunity to make a high percentage shot.

Passing the ball when you don't have a solid opportunity to score applies to almost everyone and I would say it was one of the bigger problems with last years team. Players forcing the drive and throwing up a wild shot hoping for a foul which hasn't been as bad this year is just like a turnover to me and there was a lot of it last year. Still not seeing anyone consistently knock down the mid-range shot which would really open up the floor. If Weisbrod would make a few of those then he would be much more effective driving to the basket. Atwood and Hubby look like players that could develop that game also.

Poor defense will be too much for this team to overcome in conference. I didn't watch this game but in several of the others we gave up WAY too many easy shots

I think that they have a good defense. They do a lot of trapping.

Sorry giving up 75 points to a team like AB is not good defense. Yes the Cards do attempt a lot of trapping but they give up way to many drives to the basket. The forwards are out of position way to often, maybe the forwards are just too slow for the defense that Price is trying to run.
