geezer Posted March 12, 2017 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Cards open conference with three straight losses at Sam. Lot's to improve upon going forward. Pitching showing that it is young and inexperienced in giving up a total of 18 runs over the three games. I think the Cards got out to the early lead in each game but couldn't keep the bats going and didn't get the pitching to hold the lead. Don't recall the stats from the first two games but in todays game the top of the line-up was and 0 for 11 with a walk in the ninth. Cards have two mid-week games this week followed by another weekend conference road trip to SELA. Will need to win at least two on the weekend to keep touch.
