January 31, 20197 yr Author Adeyi is an interesting case. He initially committed to Houston in September and signed with them in the December signing period. Then he “decommitted” from Houston last week. I used “ “ cause since he was signed, the school would have to sign off on releasing him from his letter of intent. Then he gets an offer from SFA and SHSU, then he posts on twitter that he has been released from his LOI and gets an offer from Lamar. Normal NCAA transfer rules should still be in place since he signed a LOI with Houston meaning he could be eligible immediately at the FCS level but would have to sit out a year at the FBS level. This happened with a high profile player this year in 5-Star WR Bru McCoy. Committed to USC and even enrolled early. His 1st day on campus was the day it was announced new USC OC Kliff Kingsbury (who was a big part in McCoy signing with USC) would be new Arizona Cardinals HC. McCoy then opted to transfer to Texas. What a world we live in...
