KABrother88 Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Game to kick off at 4:00 on ESPN3 If anyone is interested, Buffalo Wild Wings on Dowlen in Beaumont will be hosting a watch party. Quote
Skinny1 Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 (edited) I’ll be watching from my cabin in the Smokey Mountains, North Carolina. I have DirectTV here. Edited November 24, 2018 by Skinny1 Quote
TBonesLU Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Does anyone else cringe as much as I do when he reads the press release on the Lamar athletics website for games? It’s so riddled with mistakes that I can’t read it without wanting to punch myself in the face. Quote

They did the same thing for volleyball. Media dude is a spin doctor. Quote
KABrother88 Posted November 24, 2018 Author Posted November 24, 2018 If you have Spectrum cable, the game will be on channel 394 as well Quote
KABrother88 Posted November 24, 2018 Author Posted November 24, 2018 What channel on Directv did you find? I’ve heard 790 Quote
KABrother88 Posted November 24, 2018 Author Posted November 24, 2018 Now that’s the way to start a game. 2nd play Colbert to Banks for 6 Quote
geezer Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 After the big kickoff return and a couple of big offensive plays Lamar defense holds and forces UNI to settle for the field goal. Not a bad start at all. Need another drive to gain confidence. Quote
puddin tane Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Anybody watching on ESPN 3? Mne ain't working Quote
KABrother88 Posted November 24, 2018 Author Posted November 24, 2018 Anybody watching on ESPN 3? Mne ain't working You’re missing it puddin...they are chunkin that tater all over the yard...even the WRs and getting in on it! Quote
KABrother88 Posted November 24, 2018 Author Posted November 24, 2018 Colbert to Robinson for 6 on 3rd and long...XP good this time and it’s 13-3 Quote
geezer Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Yeah, Im not having any problem. And where has this offense been? Lamar up 13-3 following Colbert to Robinson td pass. Quote
geezer Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Halftime and the game is tied at 13. That's the good news, on the negative side Lamar offense didn't do much after the first couple of possesions. Quote
NorthoftheBorder Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 What's going on with the cards. I am in a blackout area and BRI is my only way of keeping up with the game. Quote
NorthoftheBorder Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Ok, Dodd & Schultz need to get creative on offense. Bliel needs to motivate the OL. Let's stick it to them in the 2ND half. Quote
KABrother88 Posted November 24, 2018 Author Posted November 24, 2018 What's going on with the cards. I am in a blackout area and BRI is my only way of keeping up with the game. Lamar started hot then UNI started gashing with their running attack. Defense has stood tall on third downs for the most part. UNI was able to convert a 4th and 1 then later scored to tie it at 13. My worry with this game is will the defense be able to keep it up in the 4th quarter? The UNI OL is having their way up front and Lamar DT Reggie Boseman is now crutches. Quote
KABrother88 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Good defense to start the 3rd quarter forcing a punt. Lamar worked their way deep into UNI territory but Wanza fumbles and UNI recovers Quote
KABrother88 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Defense forces a 3 and out. Lamar ball at the 33 Quote
KABrother88 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Lamar forced to punt but a deflected pass results in an interception. Lamar ball at the UNI 22. The Colbert sacked in 1st down Quote
BigNasty92 Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Ok... Does anyone know the real reason why Hoy isn't playing? As big of a difference that Hoy makes to our offense while he's on the field, I just have a hard time believing it's the 'Colbert was the starter before he got hurt...'. If that truly is the reason why, ok... but IMO, if Colbert had not gotten hurt, there's no way we run the table like we did during the regular season. Not saying Colbert is a bad player... he just doesn't have what Hoy brings to our offense. Quote
geezer Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 I don't have any inside information, but for whatever reason Schultz made up his mind before the first game of the season that Colbert was his man and if he is nothing else, Schultz is loyal to his man. Only hope may be that Colbert twist his ankle again. Quote
