Game time is 7 PM. Should be a home court laugher, but we'll see. Hopefully the main players come out with a high degree of energy and create a lead that allows the west end of the bench to get some real playing time and see if they are learning anything. Sullivan and Foster haven't shown that they improved any from last year as freshman. Nzeakor is finally playing like many thought he was capable with point production and rebounding. The guards and forwards need to demonstrate that the team getting a good shot and more often than not a score rather than selfish play forcing the ball into bad shots or turnovers.

Agree in many ways it is a pointless game but at least at the 11:00 minute mark in the first half the game is going the way it should. Lamar is up by twenty and Nzeakor is on the bench because subs are in do to the score as opposed to foul trouble.

Halftime and LU is up by 34 at 47-13. Edwin Jeudy is not dreesed out for this game but the other twelve Cardinals have all played at least three minutes. Paige is leading the scoring for Lamar with 9 points followed by Nzeakor with 8. Barrett is leading the rebounding with five follewed by Foster and Atwood with four each. Bad side of the game is nine first half turnovers and in my opinion to many forced shots, especially from the non-starting guards.

At the 11:20 media timeout Lamar is up by 48 at 76-28. It's time for Nzeakor and Garth to go put on the warm-ups and enjoy watching the younger guys play.

In reality this game was over after about the first five minutes, but the clock has finally ran out and the Cards win by a final of 121-32. Not sure what the record point differential for Lamar is but 89 points shows how meaningless this game was other than the playing time for the reserves which in hind sight probably still wasn't enough.

Game highlights, Lamar was lead in scoring by Garth with 24 folled by Nzeakor and Paige with 18 each, Atwood with 13 points and Barrett with 12 points and 12 rebounds for his first double double as a Cardinal. Nzeakor only had four rebounds but didn't need to do any more. Paige came off the bench to play tenty two minutes, the most by any of the Cards and none of the starters played more than 21 minutes and probably could have played even less. On the negative side the Cards have another laugher scheduled to end the non-conference schedule on the 29th against Champion Christian and give the Cards a winning record going into the conference schedule.

Jeudy did not play versus TSU in the previous game. He was in sweats but did not participate in warm-ups. Anyone know the issue with him?
