Connecticut is in the process of moving back to the Big East from the AAC ...

 

After the majority of realignment settled down for a little while it seems another wave is coming.

Heard a report that a move is possible, but not sure how much difference it will make. The AAC will drop down to eleven teams in football unless there is a deal made for them to stay in the conference for football. The AAC already has one team playing football only (Navy) so they could go to two. The Big East where UConn is supposedly going doesn't play football. In basketball it doesn't really matter if there are twelve or eleven, so UConn will need somewhere to play football and the AAC will be better off if there are twelve teams and a playoff game.
