FBS game in 2020

Has anyone heard what FBS team we play next season plus any other non-conference games?

Looks like LU plays Rice next year, plays both UTSA and Texas Tech in 2021, then SMU in 2022. I'm sure these are subject to change.

Out of conference, somewhere I saw D2 Mississippi College either 2020 or 2021. Can’t remember where I saw it.

Future teams LU will play reported by Matt Faye:

2021: at Northern Colorado

2022: hosts North Colorado, then at SMU

2023: at Louisiana-Monroe

 

Some context on Northern Colorado: The Bears play in a tough Big Sky Conference, finishing 11th out of 13 teams last year. They went 2-9 overall in 2018.

I bet LU only plays one FBS school in 2021 or that's a 3 straight road games to start the season.

At the moment we have UTSA and Texas Tech on the books for 2021 to go alone with Northern Colorado

We are not playing Texas Tech in the near future. The 2021 game in Lubbock has been canceled.

Also Lamar has only one Div2 left on the schedule, & it is next year. Lamar is currently working to get rid of that game.

Has also agreed to play Texas State, UL-Monroe, and North Texas in the future. Texas State agreement also includes home & home in men’s basketball.

The jist is no more Power5 conference games in football.

When I posted that Texas Tech was still listed on there for 2021. It was a couple days later that Lamar announced it was cancelled and I see they have already updated their website. I said at the moment they were on there cause I assumed something would be changed since 2021 should be an 11 game year...so 3 non-conference games would only work with an 8 game conference schedule.

Currently all but one of the SLC teams play a nine game conference schedule and the remaining team plays eight as evidenced by UIW getting the nod as a champion last year with a eight conference game schedule. Not saying it is but 21 could be LU's turn.
