6:00 PM start time. Big game for both the rest of the season and overall for the program during the Schultz era. LU has to step up and win against programs that have traditionally been below them in the conference race. LU can't overlook anyone.

LU defense has played well so far. Hoy completes a 55 yard touchdown pass and run to Banks for a 7-0 Lamar lead with 3:16 left in the first quarter.

Lamar drive stalls, but Giffen makes a field goal to give LU a 10-0 lead at the 10:15 mark in the second quarter. Edited by geezer

Defense has a couple of blown assignments on the ACU drive that allows ACU a touchdown with 4:52 left in the half. Defense gave up a long run by the ACU QB and a pass interference call that helps ACU. Edited by geezer

LU fumbles the ball after moving into ACU territory giving ACU the ball with 1:35 left in the half that ACU turns into a touchdown with 1:03 left in the half to give ACU the lead at 13-10. Defense gives up two more big plays to ACU.

Poor clock management by Lamar costs a chance ot get a score. Not only does LU not score but Hoy throws a hail Mary that ACU intercepts and returns for a touchdown that gets called back to the ACU 47 due to a holding call,

Agreed the defense hasn't played very good, especially in the 2nd quarter. The offense needs to be more consistent also. Hoy has done ok, but the running backs haven't stepped up to fill the void from Wanza and Walker not playing.

2nd half, LU tkaes the kickoff, moves the ball easily but fumble at the ACU 44 and turns the ball over for the third time. ACU moves the ball with a couple of big plays and an LU penalty but their drive stalls and they settle for a field goal and a 16 - 10 lead. Can LU stop the turnovers and can the defense step up?

Lamar has a well executed drive following the ACU field goal and Hoy completes a 34 yard pass and run to Sikes for a touchdown and the extra point gives LU a one point lead with 4:45 left in the third quarter.

ACU answers the LU score with a touchdown drive and a two point conversion to retake the lead at 24-17 with seven seconds left in the third quarter.
