geezer
Cards give up one run in the bottom of the 1st. Looks like SFA has a good batting average as a team.
Skinny1
Lamar comes into this evening’s game with a 7-5 record, SFA is at 3-10. Jacks lost to UIW on Tuesday 9-2. Edited March 7, 2020 by Skinny1
geezer
Cards give up another run in the 4th. Through four innings SFA leading 2-0. Michael definately doesn't have his best stuff tonight as he has given up five hits and walked six through four.
geezer
Through seven innings and SFA still leading by two. Johnson has pitched three scoreless innings in relief of Michaels. Lamar's offense needs to step up. Edited March 7, 2020 by geezer
geezer
Cards give up three insurance runs to SFA in the bottom of the eighth. Johnson started his fourth inning of work. Got an out, then hit a batter and walked the next batter. Cards make a pitching change followed by a walk, another hit by pitch and a single. Bottom line Lamar gave up eight hits and nine walks or hit batters. Can't win games with that many people getting on base without earning it. Cards fail to score in the ninth. geezer
Lamar got one run in the seventh to take the lead but gave up two in the eighth to fall 3-2. Similar story to game one as the Cards gave up five walks and five hit by pitches to aid SFA. Got to get a win tomorrow.
geezer
Good start for LU in game three. Cards still batting in the first inning and the Cards have three runs with SFA making a pitching change.
geezer
SFA comes back with three runs in the bottom of the third and two runs in the sixth to take a 5-4 win and sweep the series. The Cards got their fourth run in the ninth inning leaving two on base to end the game. Cards had a base runner in every inning except the third. Just couldn't get the timely hit to push home a run. Next week: mid week games at Tulane Tuesday and Wednesday followed by weekend series with McNeese at home.
Skinny1
Tough weekend for Lamar Baseball. Were in all the games despite hitting a bunch of batters and giving up too many walks.
