baller Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 The NCAA has cancelled all winter and spring championships. Quote
geezer Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 I may well be completely wrong, but this is rediculous. The coronivirus is not ebola. For the average person it is inbetween a cold and the flu from everything I have read and heard. I do understand that locker rooms possibly put more people in a position to be exposed than some other contacts, but most people are still going to go to the store for groceries so if there is someone with the disease you may be exposed. Skinny1 Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 You would think this is the bubonic plague. I’m calling Marco to get my $125 for my baseball season ticket back. Quote
Skinny1 Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 I wonder if the NCAA will award hardship redshirts to all spring sports athletes? Quote
Skinny1 Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 Another thought, why would you cancel golf. There is no physical contact among players, no spectators to speak of, and it is played outdoors. Track and field and tennis almost the same. Quote

geezer Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 To do any kind of extra year for the seniors in basketball, I think the NCAA would have to give some kind of relief on total scholarships for next year as teams would have less spots for the recruits they have already signed. Quote
