geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Too bad it's a road game, just because of the amount of games the Cards have already played on the road. The good part of this game is that we get an early indication of whether the tough non-conference schedule will improve the Card's performance in the conference. Quote
geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 First media time out. ACU 6 Lamar 5, Lamar already has three turnovers. ACU os very aggressive on defense. Quote
geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Eleven minute mark of the first half and ACU up by four. LU now has six turnovers and only shooting 33% Quote
geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Eight minutes left in the first half and Lamar is staying close. ACU 18 Lamar 16. Cards have finally slowed the turnovers and are playing good defense. Also ACU not shooting well either. Quote
geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Three minutes left in the first half with ACU still up by four and will be shooting free throws coming out of the timeout. Muoka hasn't played at all yet today. Can't say that I have seen him on the sideline either. Quote
geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Halftime score ACU 36, Lamar 30. Lamar shooting 37%. Rebounds are about even. ACU has twelve fouls to seven for Lamar, but Jefferson has three of the fouls. After six turnovers in the first six minutes of the game the Cards close out the half with a total of eight. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 2, 2021 Author Posted January 2, 2021 I feel good about the Cardinals as they are only down six on the road at halftime. Quote
geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 ACU comes out on fire in the second half shooting four for four from the three point arc, even on contested shots to extend the lead to fourteen at the first media timeout. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 2, 2021 Author Posted January 2, 2021 I feel good about the Cardinals as they are only down six on the road at halftime. Wow, I leave for a minute and LU is down 14! Quote
geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Under eight minute timeout in the second half and Lamar is down fourteen. ACU came out extremely hot in the second half and built as much as a nineteen point lead, but have it back to fourteen and has two of the ACU players with four fouls. Quote
geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Sullivan fouls out with 5:42 left. Cards down fifteen. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 2, 2021 Author Posted January 2, 2021 Lamar currently has a three minute scoring drought. Quote
geezer Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Over the last four minutes there has been a lot of contact and no fouls called on ACU. Cards aren't built for this kind of a game. The contact creating turnovers. ACU has expanded the lead to 22 on a nine -zero run. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 2, 2021 Author Posted January 2, 2021 Lamar currently has a three minute scoring drought. Lamar is one of their last seven FG attempts. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 2, 2021 Author Posted January 2, 2021 (edited) Don't know what is wrong with Anderson Kopp. He was 2 of 12 from the floor and 0 of 5 from the 3 point line. This is starting to be a trend for him. We really need him to play like he is capable. Edited January 2, 2021 by lamarfan360 Quote

So far this year, Sullivan and Harrison are the two that are playing the best. Quote

So far this year, Sullivan and Harrison are the two that are playing the best. During a Coach Price interview recently, he stated that Kasen Harrison would be one of the best PG's to ever play at Lamar. That is lofty praise for a true freshman. Quote
