Entering Saturday’s contest, Harrison is the Southland’s third-leading freshman scorer, and the league’s second-leading scorer among true freshmen (10.4 ppg). He has reached double figures in each of the team’s last five games, and is averaging 12.6 points per game during that stretch while continuing to be one of the Southland's top assist leaders. lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Lamar 6, HBU 4 at the first media timeout. Anderson Kopp at the FT line when play continues. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Lamar shooting woes continue as they have a 1 point lead, 12 to 11 over HBU at the 10:57 mark of the first half. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 LU 16, HBU 11 at 7:27 left in the first half. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Lamar sloppy with the ball already has 8 TO's in the first half. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 3:50 media timeout LU leads 25 to 17 over HBU. Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Not really a positive but HBU is even sloppier with thirteen turnovers to this point. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Lamar is beating themselves with poor shooting and turnovers. At halftime the game is tied at 30. Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 HBU takes a timeout with four seconds left in the half after a made basket by Lamar to get the lead back to three. After the timeout Lamar allows HBU to get the ball three quarters of the way up the court and hit a three to tie the game at 30. Lack of intensity at the end. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Lord here we go! HBU 39, LU 32 at the 17:45 mark of the 2nd half. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 HBU 41 to 34 over LU at the 15:52 of the second half. Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 What's the old story about the last five minutes of the first half and the first five of the second. Well Lamar is down by fifteen over that time frame this afternoon. Quote
Skinny1 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Not sure which team wants to lose more talent wise LU has a definite edge. Coaching is probably a toss-up. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Lamar down 4 with 11:53 left to play. Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I'll give on court coaching to HBU. Lamar might have a little more pure talent. Lamar has played seven players so far and HBU has played eleven. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 I don't know the percentage but HBU is on fire in the second half from the 3 point line. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 The Cards have made a run and took the lead at the 3:54 mark of the 2nd half, 60 to 56. Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 HBU is shooting 39% from three point land which is decent but it is really good compared to Lamar's 19% three point shooting. Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Important win if Lamar is going to do anything in conference. While Lamar still made many of their usual mistakes, a couple of positives were Sullivan playing all forty minutes and the play of Bennet and Smith. Lamar played a lot of the second half without Buster who picked up his third foul early in the second half. Quote
baller Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 David Muoka was in a boot on the bench. The number of players participating for the Cardinals will increase when he can play. Quote
lu cards Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Tic has to go !! Nothing will change until we have new leadership. He Quote
