He is a nice guy, but after watching a few WAC games over the past couple of weeks, he doesn't have the coaching ability to compete against the top WAC teams. GCU, NMSU and Tarleton St all have better coaches. NMSU has better talent. Quote

geezer Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 If Lamar wins their last two games they will make the SLC Tourney thanks to SFA taking their NCAA post season ban this year. Both games are against teams with worse records than Lamar so it isn't that much of a stretch for Lamar to make it. I know a lot of people that like Price, but he is not the coach to take Lamar to the next level. Yes he has a few twenty win seasons, but those are all with multiple sub D1 games to get wins. With the facilities that Lamar has he should have been competing for top three finishes in the SLC for the last four seasons and that hasn't happened. Quote

Skinny1 Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Okay, Price wins one game he was suppose to lose at home. Not enough to save his job in my opinion. Also, the clowns that run the SLC have decided to have a vote on Tuesday to take 10 teams to the SLC Tournament instead of eight since not all the teams have played each other and not the same amount of games. So Lamar men will be in the tourney. I am not complaining about the decision, but you would think it could have happened sooner. Quote
