Lamar 2 runs on a 2 out hit up the middle by Avery George. SFA pitcher walks next hitter on 4 straight balls (2nd time this inning).

SFA gets out of inning throwing out George on attempted 3rd base steal.

Runner 2nd on fielders choice.

 

Tying run to 3rd on another fielders choice

 

Dallas strikes out pinch hitter.

 

Cards win 3-2 for a sweep of SFA!

Good start for the season. Four wins on good pitching and solid defense. A sweep of a conference foe, even though it is a non-conference series. What SFA does in their other conference series will give the Cards comparison as they move into conference play.

Lamar definitely looked like the better team in this series. Could tell SFA was getting frustrated facing the Cards.
