2020Vision Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Worth nothing: basketball writer Joshua Parrott mentioned UNLV as an option for Harrison Thanks for the heads up. I was saying UNLV is definitely an option, they have been in contact, but it would pose the same conflict as LA Tech did. Quote
geezer Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 I'm sure Harrison was contacted by UNLV if they have a spot as I think you are seeing how much influence Chappell had with the young guys. As far Buster it's almost to late for him to enter the portal and to be honest if he has anyone giving him decent advise he won't go anywhere. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Good news coming tonight! I hope you are right! Quote
coachacola Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Harrison posted on Twitter that he's staying at LU. Now that the backcourt is set Brooks needs to find some big men. Quote

Lamar now has the best backcourt in the WAC! If we can land a couple of big men we are recruiting next year could be special!! Quote

I don't know if I would go that far, but Lamar may have the best backcourt it has had in years. We definitely have three guards capable of scoring, my question will be how well they take care of the ball. Quote
coachacola Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 Both Harrison and Adams will have 3 years of eligibility too. Quote
PeckEm Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 Honoring his commitment. I knew he was no snowflake 😜 Quote
SportsGuy Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 Massive. Bring back Buster and a couple of wings/bigs and now we Quote
Skinny1 Posted April 24, 2021 Author Posted April 24, 2021 Massive. Bring back Buster and a couple of wings/bigs and now we Buster is not going anywhere but Lamar. Having Adams as an outside scoring threat should help him get more open shots. Quote
geezer Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Not sure when but Anthony Cameron entered the transfer portal. Another that based on past performance isn't a loss for LU but opens a slot for someone potentially better. Quote
geezer Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Maybe none of them will fit what Brooks thinks Lamar needs, but there are a slew of 6' 10" and taller centers in the portal without new schools. Quote

Last time I spoke with Anthony (at SLC Tournament), he had not received doctors clearance to play, but was hopeful. I guess he got a clearance. Best of luck to him. Quote
coachacola Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 Lamar has made an offer to Arkansas forward Abayomi Iyiola today. He's 6'9" but hasn't played much the last 2 years. He played his first 2 years at Stetson where he put up pretty good stats. He followed his coach to Arkansas and had to sit out a year, then he was hurt last year. He looks like a good replacement for Muoko. https://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2021/may/04/abayomi-iyiola-to-transfer-from-arkansas/ https://verbalcommits.com/players/abayomi-iyiola Quote

SportsGuy Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 I wonder what is taking Brooks so long to announce his staff? Quote

Got in one game late. On the plus side, he was good enough to transfer, on scholarship, to a team that made the elite eight. Quote

With what I assume is 1 year of eligibility left, he has to go to a program where he can start, or at least be in the top 7. Lamar could be a really good fit for him. Quote
