Skinny1 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 (edited) Lamar Track and Field just completed their last SLC meet by the men finishing 11th and the women finished 12th out of a total 13 teams. Edited May 17, 2021 by Skinny1 Quote
geezer Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 How does Lamar's roster compare with other schools. With 39 total (15 women and 24 men) that doesn't seem like enough. Does Lamar have enough athletes to have at least two for each event? Quote
Skinny1 Posted May 23, 2021 Author Posted May 23, 2021 How does Lamar's roster compare with other schools. With 39 total (15 women and 24 men) that doesn't seem like enough. Does Lamar have enough athletes to have at least two for each event? Lamar has the D1 full complement of full scholarships for track and field, 18 womens, 14 mens. SFA and UCA had a couple of football players compete in the conference meet since those schools opted to play fall football versus spring. But ACU and Sam did not have football players available for track and field this year. Most schools do not offer full scholarships to track athletes with the exception of those that sucessfully compete in multiple events or distance runners that compete in cross country, indoor, & outdoor.
