coachacola Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Can LU beat a team that's transitioning from D2? Quote
lamarfan360 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 I think Big Red wins this game, 24-21. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Change that prediction; Lamar is starting their third string QB. Tarleton State will take this game. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Tarleton scores first on a 9 yard pass. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Ward scores on a 3 yard run to tie the score at 7. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Lamar DB Alexander picks off a Tarleton pass. Setting the Cardinals up in good field position. Quote
geezer Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 End of first quarter with the game tied at seven. Quote
geezer Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Williams hits Banks for a 27 yard touchdown pass on the first play of the second quarter to give Lamar a 14-7 lead.. Quote
geezer Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Tarleton comes right back with a 60 yard pass to set up a 3 yard touchdown run, game tied at 14. Quote
PeckEm Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 I loved football when I was little. One problem, I was a major runt. In junior high I kept playing. Above average athlete but I was still about as big as an average third grader. Coaches stuck me in the slot on Vincents jr high B team. I SWEAR, I was bigger then than this scrawny runt we have starting at QB. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Lamar is missing two upper classman DL to injury and started two freshman. Quote

PeckEm Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 (edited) According to the roster he's 5'10" and only 150 lbs!! I am going with 5 feet 7 inches and 135 lbs. those arms and legs have never budged a weight in their life. Edited November 7, 2021 by PeckEm Quote
PeckEm Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Lamar is missing two upper classman DL to injury and started two freshman. 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Havent you been paying attention? The reason we suck us because we have been playing freshmen all year. Quote

PeckEm Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Can LU beat a team that's transitioning from D2? Transitioning? What are you talking about? They are a powerhouse! They are moving to the almighty WAC with us Dixie State, California Baptist and other national powerhouses!! Quote
geezer Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 With 1:57 left in the half Tarleton finishes another approximately 60 yard drive get another touchdown to take a 21-14 lead. Quote
geezer Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Does anyone know anything about what the injury status is on Dummett and Chandler. I know Chandler went out two weeks ago with what looked like an ankle injury and Dummett went out last week near the end of the first half with what looked like a wrist injury. I was hoping Chandler might have been back for this game. Quote

lamarfan360 Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Morgan spoke? LOL, yeah he spoke. Back to the game. I believe the defense is getting tired. The offense need to put together a long drive here. LU is down 28-14. Quote
geezer Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Well I would say this might classify for an emergency as Tarleton has moved out to a 28-14 lead midway in the third quarter and little chance at winning either of the last two games. If Chandler is "available in an emergency", he is available and as a better passer that is what Lamar is going to have to do to come back. Quote

The offense has not done anything in the second half. Edited November 7, 2021 by lamarfan360 Quote
geezer Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 One problem with Lamar's running game is the heavy backs, Ward and others can get outside and the speed backs can't be successful consistently running in the trenches so based on personnel the defense knows where to expect the run attack and the passing game is so inconsistent. Quote
geezer Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 A I'm typing Jackson breaks one on the outside and gets a long running touchdown. 11:30 left in the game, now 35-21 Tarleton leading. Quote
