Lamar at Tarleton State

I loved football when I was little. One problem, I was a major runt. In junior high I kept playing. Above average athlete but I was still about as big as an average third grader. Coaches stuck me in the slot on Vincents jr high B team. I SWEAR, I was bigger then than this scrawny runt we have starting at QB.

Does anyone know anything about what the injury status is on Dummett and Chandler. I know Chandler went out two weeks ago with what looked like an ankle injury and Dummett went out last week near the end of the first half with what looked like a wrist injury. I was hoping Chandler might have been back for this game.

Chandler is dressed out for the game but Coach Morgan said he would only play in an emergency situation. He should be ready for next week.

Well I would say this might classify for an emergency as Tarleton has moved out to a 28-14 lead midway in the third quarter and little chance at winning either of the last two games. If Chandler is "available in an emergency", he is available and as a better passer that is what Lamar is going to have to do to come back.

35-14, I would not risk injury to Chandler. The offense has not done anything in the second half.

One problem with Lamar's running game is the heavy backs, Ward and others can get outside and the speed backs can't be successful consistently running in the trenches so based on personnel the defense knows where to expect the run attack and the passing game is so inconsistent.
