The biggest question for Lamar is how many players are available. Like Lamar RGV had a chance to defeat ACU but they literally ran out of available players and had to play with only four on the court for about a minute of playing time while one of the walk-ons the coach had in the book, but not dressed for the game went to the locker room to suit up. Lamar shot 39.5% from the field including 3-12 from three-point range. No excuse for that against another terrible team. The rap on CJ Roberts coming over from NMSU was that he does not play defense, he is an offensive player. He had his chance with Houston a long time ago and failed as their head coach. Of course LU decides to hire him only because he was a star player for the Cards back in the 80s.
