Great pitching performance from Douthit, shame it wasn't a little later in the year where, he might have been allowed to go a little farther, but protecting his arm is the right thing to do at this point in the season. Douthit, six innings no hits no runs and fourteen strike outs. Except for the home run given up by Lamar the rest of the pitchers did well also.

I have no idea what kind of competition Binghamton is supposed to be but through two games Lamar has given up just two runs. Lamar pounded the ball for sixteen runs today. Here's hoping that is a peak at the future for this year and not just a one game anomaly. Game three starts tomorrow at 10:00 AM. Edited by geezer

Cards fall in game three of the series so we will wait and see how they do over the next ten days on the road with a single game at A&M, a three-game series next weekend at Rice and a single game the following Tuesday at Houston. Binghamton's bats came alive today as they jumped on the Lamar starter with five runs in the top of the first and win 9-5.

At least they are division one. So baseball already has more D1 wins than mens basketball

Anyone going to be out there for the games against Rice?

Seems like a good opportunity to capitalize on the situation. Rice got beaten to a pulp by Texas. Yes, Texas looks to be a juggernaut, but Rice was fighting out of weight class in Cheito's first series as a HC.

I've got some great seats and will definitely show up to support Big Red!

Lamar falls 9-3 at A&M. A positive for this game is that most of the damage from A&M came in the first inning when the Cards gave up five runs. The Cards also gave up two runs in the third but came back with one in the fifth and two in the sixth.
