February 26, 20224 yr Lady cards won 2 today. Beat aggy-cc and U of H. Watched the 2nd game. Helluva game vs cooger hi. they are playing decent ball. They are 4-8 vs a pretty hard schedule and have dropped several 1 run games. Only blowout was vs number 5 Washington. Need to wake up the bats but they are looking a helluva alot better than last year.

February 28, 20224 yr Softball wins first two and drops last three over the weekend. Lamar bats are doing ok, but pitching, while maybe better than last year still has a long way to go.

Think of LU as the Chicago Cubs of the south and what great fans the Cubs had when it only took what about a hundred years for them to get back to the World Series. And all of the promising starts that floundered. Mets fans are another set to emulate. Take pride, being terrible is better than really thinking you have a chance.

March 12, 20224 yr Lamar just doesn't have a shutdown pitcher. The good programs quite often have at least two pitchers that are capable of pitching shutouts or low run games on a regular basis.

April 2, 20224 yr Cardinal Softball win its first ever WAC weekend series with a 5-3 win over Tarleton Saturday afternoon. Cards take the last two games of the series.
April 9, 20224 yr Author Ladies take final game against ACU to avoid sweep. played ok Friday. 2nd game was ridiculously bad. Played good last game. Hooks shook up lineup a little after LU had about 50 errors and bonehead plays in game 2. Lots of wind and homers in Abilene.
April 16, 20224 yr Author Ladies lose 3 games to sfa, outscored 26-1 cards top two pitchers didnt pitch in any of the games.
May 6, 20224 yr Author Sammie leading 2-0 in the 6th. Hooks and the pitching coach got tossed in the 2nd. Couldnt figure out what the were pissed about. Damn hot at softball complex
