1:45 left in the game, WCU has hit two more threes to take a one-point lead 81-80. Really wish we could have seen this game, I would like to know if Lamar is just slow getting to the three-point shooters or if they are just really that hot.

Cards fall in overtime 98-91. WCU went ahead with two minutes left in the overtime and then Lamar started settling for three-point attempts and missing them. Cards close the game 1-13 on three-point attempts compared to WCU shooting 16-36 from three-point land. Lamar shot 61.9% from the field overall, but it wasn't enough to overcome the difference in three-point scoring. Edited by geezer

Game tomorrow starts at 1:30 PM. Based on the last two McNeese games this is a game Lamar should be able to win, but I will wait and see. Edited by geezer

Freshman Calmese lead team with 20 points, followed by Hamilton with 11 points and 8 rebounds (we may have a decent inside player this year). Freshman Pennebaker had 9, followed by Buckley, Pryor, Thirdkill and Anderson with 8, 7, 6 and 5 respectively. It was nice the team did not fold in the first half when they were down big. Lots of players contributed which is a good sign. Team had 16 assists and 12 turnovers, and shot 44% for the game and 85% from the line. Buckley made 4 FTs near the end of the game to seal the win.

Hamilton looks VERY good to me. I wonder if he has attitude issues. I wish we could get Catt some more minutes. It is looking like we play piss poor defense but have a lot more offensive talent this year.

We got to be better at 3 point defense. Everyone is killing us with the treys.

Yes. And last year our 3 point defense was terrible. It is our defensive scheme
