After getting out to a three-run lead in the first, the Cards allowed McNeese to come back with three runs in the third to tie the game. The two teams each scored a run in the fifth. Lamar got two runs in the sixth but gave up one run to take a 6-5 lead into the seventh. Cards held the one run lead into the bottom of the eighth before giving up three runs to fall behind 8-6 beginning the top of the ninth. The bats come through this time getting four runs to take a 10-8 lead. You would think that would be enough, but Lamar pitching just can't have a one, two three inning. McNeese gets one run in the bottom of the ninth to make it close before leaving the bases loaded to end the game. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
