Well, we only had one win last year so certainly this year will be better?

I predict this game will be a lot closer than most people think. They do not have film on this team and they can not be used to the heat and humidity of SE Texas.

On one hand, LU did hire a coach that has actually head coaching experience with a track record of turning programs around. On the other hand, we are talking about LU football.

They used to release Game Notes on or before game day and you could read them on the Athletic website. I have looked all over and they don't have them. Would like to see the depth chart and also read up on the opponent some. I guess we continue to slip, probably had to eliminate a position in the athletic dept and can't get that out to the media anymore. :angry:

No they did not eliminate a position. James Dixon AD for media relations just quit doing game notes a couple years ago.

Well Sh*t! They help keep interest with the fans and inform the media. Not a smart decision if you ask me!

So far it's the same thing we saw last year. Extremely inconsistent or lack of offense and defense gives up some big plays and plenty of excuses from the announcers.

Looks like my prediction was way off. I just hope Idaho is a lot better than I thought!

Idaho's offense was very good last year and they have most of the key pieces back so their scoring isn't a big surprise, but Lamar had a total of ten offensive attempts for their first three drives.

Lamar offense has played better in the second half, but still inconsistent. Coleman appears to be a better passer in the pocket, but inaccurate when forced to scramble.

Geezer - help me out. What was your take on our week 1 performance?

It's hard to say what the rest of the year will be like. Lamar played better in the second half, but unless there is major improvement throughout the season, this year will still be ugly. On the other hand the conference went one and seven with the lone win coming against a nobody for HCU.
