Cards travel to Natchitoches on Saturday to play NWST at 2 PM.  NWST is winless so logically this should be a win, but just a win is not good enough.  Lamar must play each play like the conference championship is depending on it.

This is a must win ! Would love to see the offense rack up some big numbers Saturday.

We SHOULD bomb this team…but we shoulda bombed the hbcu teams and didnt.  Dont think theres much desire to do more than handoff and run the clock.

We should have bombed Commerce last week too.  Your prediction is accurate.

End of the first half and Lamar is playing another of those games where they are their own worst enemy.  Cards are up 21-7 at half but have given NWST multiple opportunities with self-inflicted mistakes.

This team looks like they are just going through the motions.  We don’t look very dominating!  I keep waiting for a breakout game to ignite this team. It’s probably not going to happen this year.

I also heard on TV that LU ranks 121 out of 123 in penalties and like 120 in penalty yardage.  Go LU

 

Lamar played the third quarter like they wanted it.  Rested Coleman and Griffin in the fourth quarter.  Final 42-10 Lamar.

They finally get a blowout win but NSU is undoubtedly one of the worst teams in the country.

Griffin is just dang good

Celebrate tonight, then get back to business.  Four games left and Lamar will need to run the table to get the conference championship and a playoff berth.  That really isn't any different than it has been since the start of the season, but we are now here.
