geezer Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Women opening their season this morning against NAIA Texas A&M - San Antonio. Question for those that normally post, should we do individual game threads or just do this thread as a season running thread? Maybe as the season goes on there will be some games warranting an individual thread but my opinion is that it would be easier to keep up with just the one thread depending on how long it gets or how much activity is posted each game. geezer Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 Texas obliterating Lamar throughout the first half. Davis picked up two fouls in seven minutes of playing time which definitely didn't help. At the half Texas is up 51-14. Quote
geezer Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 After a terrible first half, Lamar played Texas even in the second half although Texas rested their starters for a lot of it. The big difference was probably that Davis play most of the half, picking up only one more foul and scoring ten points in the half. Sabrea Dean added thirteen points for the game. Final score Texas 95 - Lamar 58. The ladies will return to action Friday the 22nd at SMU. Quote

geezer Posted December 7 Author Posted December 7 Lamar defeats UL-M 71-60. Good game for the ladies as even though Davis got into foul trouble and the Cards played much of the game without her in the lineup, the ladies still were able to pull out to a stable lead. Galloway, Hill and Minor all got significant playing time and made good contributions. Quote
geezer Posted December 15 Author Posted December 15 Women win another game with ease, even with Davis only scoring two points and grabbing six rebounds. Lot of turnovers in this game so guards did a lot of the scoring on fast breaks. Quote
