geezer Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Cards travel across the river to McNeese on Saturday for a 7 PM game. This will be the last game of the season and with a win Lamar will tie SFA for third place and a loss will move Lamar down to a tie for fifth place possibly with multiple teams. McNeese is sitting in the same place so add one more thing to the rivalry. Will it be a 7-5 season and the first time since the 1960's that Lamar has had two winning seasons in a row or a breakeven 6-6 and at least some disappointment compared to some expectations. Quote

I would really like to see the win this game, go 7-5, and show a little improvement from last year. Would be good on the recruiting trail to show the continued improvement. Let 2 very winnable games, SFA and SELA get away. Hopefully Rossomando gets the QB and offensive play improved before next year. Not sure how many starters we are losing after this year. Quote
geezer Posted November 23 Author Posted November 23 Doesn't really have anything to do with the Lamar game but UIW had a surprisingly hard game against Commerce. UIW was behind going into the fourth quarter but scored three times to get the win. Quote
geezer Posted November 24 Author Posted November 24 Cards defense playing well so far. Griffin is not playing tonight, but Lamar is still running the ball pretty well. Coleman had a fifty-four yard run to set up the first touchdown. Quote
geezer Posted November 24 Author Posted November 24 Coleman completes a forty one yard pass to Rhea for a touchdown with 6:10 left in the first half to move ahead 17-0. Quote
geezer Posted November 24 Author Posted November 24 Unbelievable, Lamar comes back to score the winning touchdown on an untimed down with a twenty-yard pass from Longino to Fusilier. Fusilier is a stud receiver. Final score Lamar 26 - McNeese 22. Quote
puddin tane Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Oh man, what a finish! Agree, Fuselier is a frickin bad ass. officiating? Worst game ive ever seen. peck em and eff mcneese Quote
lu cards Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Cheating ass Cowboys got them refs hooked up at the golden nugget ! Karma is a MF Quote
NorthoftheBorder Posted November 25 Posted November 25 As slight as it is, there was improvement from last year and that is a good step. I think they were close to being 9-3. I am unsure of what the Cards are losing and have returning for next year, and where they could use some immediate help to be competitive. Quote
