February 9, 20251 yr Cards have a good opening weekend winning three games before falling to UT. Even in the UT game Lamar managed to get out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second and held the lead through the third inning before Texas got a home run in the top of the fourth to tie the game. Texas added two in the fifth, three in the sixth and seven in the seventh to fall behind 13-1. Lamar manages to score six runs in the bottom of the seventh against the third and fourth pitchers of the game for Texas but still fall 13-7. Overall, a successful weekend for the Cards.

February 15, 20251 yr Author Cards get their fifth win versus Missouri State in the second game of the weekend with two runs in the bottom of the seventh to take a 3-2 victory.
February 15, 20251 yr Author Ladies can't get anything going against Tennessee, using five pitchers and giving up three runs in the first, two in the third and eight in the fifth. Lamar got a total of four hits against two Tennessee pitchers. Cards will end their week Sunday with a second game against Missouri State.
February 16, 20251 yr Author Ladies finish the weekend with a second win over Missouri St getting three wins and two losses for the weekend and a 6-3 overall record through the first two weeks of softball.

March 1, 20251 yr Author Softball splits day one in Hattiesburg with a loss to Jackson St and a victory over La Tech moving to nine and seven on the season.
March 2, 20251 yr Author Softball falls twice on second day with a run rule loss to Jackson St and after getting down 4-2 get two runs in the top of the 7th to tie up Southern Miss at 4-4 before giving up the winning run to USM in the bottom of the seventh.
March 2, 20251 yr Author Softball comes back to win Sunday 5-4 scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh against La Tech.
March 6, 20251 yr Author Softball picks up their eleventh win in a mid-week game against Texas Southern 11-0 in the final tune up before conference starts this weekend versus McNeese.
March 8, 20251 yr Author Ladies split their conference opening double header against McNeese on Friday.
March 8, 20251 yr Author Women shut out McNeese 4-0 on Saturday to win the weekend series 2 games to 1.
