I agree that it helps our case for an At-Large bid... but I'd rather have the "Conference Champion" trophy since it'd definitely mean a home playoff game (no way they're sending a 11-1 SLC Champ on the road for the 1st Round, given that we've already moved up to the top 15.

We are 14 in both of the two polls that are likely the most respected in the FSC Poll stratosphere. To Gator's point, an 11-1 LU with wins over SFA & SELA will likely be a top ten team and would get a home game.  It would also be the most historic, IMHO, regular season for Lamar Football!  But I am getting ahead of myself.  Only focusing on this weeks game in San Antonio.  😎

This has SFA beating LU for the title and LU getting the last seeded playoff spot.  A win would send them to North Dakota State.  Hoping for a better seeding. I think that 11-1 would be a top ten seed.

Ha!  my ideas are seldom called wisdom.  I think the only way the slc gets 3 in, is for sela to be on the bubble and get in due to kinda getting hosed last year?  6-1 in conference. Brutal OOC schedule last year and it bit em on the arse.

the big wigs are pretty down on the slc this year. I HOPE we get 2. I think we will unless weird stuff happens.

i just hope the uiw team that was on the field for the first half vs utrgv is who shows up to play us. Dont like em, theyve won the last 5.

I'm with NOTB (and not because they agreed with me).
It all becomes moot if the team doesn't take care of business this weekend so let's hope the guys TCB this weekend in San Antonio- remembering what they did the last 2 years.

 

Well, we didn’t free fall. Let’s see where we are in 2 weeks. 

I am predicting we will be around 15 in the top two polls this week. Our win over SD is looking better as they are going to be 2nd or 3rd place in the MVC this year. 

 

Including yesterday's games there are only fourteen FCS schools with two or less losses.  Only two conferences have more than two teams with two or less losses and Missouri Valley isn't one of them.  This will change as either Lamar or SFA will have three losses after next Saturday, but it is getting more difficult to believe that any conference currently deserves more than three teams in the playoffs.

 

The FCS coaches like us lot more than the rest of the polls.
