November 12, 2025Nov 12 I think the rankings give more credit to offense than defense. SFA has put up over one hundred more points than Lamar. Comparing Lamar to SFA for example, opening week SFA stays closer to Houston than Lamar does to North Texas. Week two Lamar defeats FCS #5 South Dakota, SFA falls to ACU. SFA currently on an eight-game win streak. Lamar has a seven game win streak between opening week and a week ten loss to UIW. Compare Lamar loss to UIW with SFA loss to UCA, UIW defeated UCA how does that work with the SFA loss to UCA. Comes down to just winning this week.

November 17, 2025Nov 17 Author Thanks for running these polls down Coach! I am still a bit depressed from this weekend. All of my teams lost, starting with LU, with the exception of my grandson's peewee football game! I had to take a break to reset a bit. If LU had won Saturday, it would have been historic for the program. I was really hoping for a win. We have the defense to win big, but not the offense. I believe we have the weapons, and an experienced OL, to have a really good offense. We need to stick with McCown, and open up the offense a little more. The lack of offensive production puts to much pressure on the "D".
