geezer Posted Saturday at 07:50 PM Posted Saturday at 07:50 PM Disappointing since that first possession. Lamar has two three and outs and the defense has some errors allowing NWST to score a touchdown to take the lead at the start of the second quarter. 7-3. Quote
lu cards Posted Saturday at 07:53 PM Posted Saturday at 07:53 PM Lamar can be really hard to watch at times. Looks like we’re in for another nail biter. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 07:59 PM Posted Saturday at 07:59 PM Lamar responds with a quick drive to retake the lead on a Xavier Coleman thirty-five-yard run. 11:26 left in the first half. Hopefully the Cards are awake now and will kick butt now. Lamar up 10-7. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 08:29 PM Posted Saturday at 08:29 PM Cards engineer a successful 10 play 87-yard drive for a touchdown pass to Fusilier with 21 seconds left in the half to extend the lead to 17-7. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 08:34 PM Posted Saturday at 08:34 PM First half stats for Lamar 123 yards passing and 136 yards rushing. NWST stats 172 yards passing and -21 yards rushing. Quote
lu cards Posted Saturday at 08:46 PM Posted Saturday at 08:46 PM We dominated the stats last week and barely won. Let’s blow this team out in the 2nd half ! Quote
NorthoftheBorder Posted Saturday at 09:08 PM Author Posted Saturday at 09:08 PM I see that Coleman started and is QB1 today. Is that because he was elevated or McCown is still dinged up from last week? Quote
TBonesLU Posted Saturday at 09:14 PM Posted Saturday at 09:14 PM Hope there is a chance for McDowell to run one in—dude deserves it. Quote

geezer Posted Saturday at 09:29 PM Posted Saturday at 09:29 PM End of the third quarter with Lamar up 24-7. Quote
puddin tane Posted Saturday at 09:42 PM Posted Saturday at 09:42 PM Coleman still looks like his left shoulder isnt 100%. Favors it after getting hit Quote
lu cards Posted Saturday at 09:48 PM Posted Saturday at 09:48 PM Good second half. Oline is dominating! Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 09:52 PM Posted Saturday at 09:52 PM Demons hit a 78-yard pass with 9:15 left in the game to close the gap to 34-14. Lamar defender fell down just as the pass arrived. Cards pass defense needs to improve. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 09:54 PM Posted Saturday at 09:54 PM Cards bring in the back up quarterback Powell for the upcoming drive. Actually, the Cards have brought in a lot off back ups for this possession. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 10:01 PM Posted Saturday at 10:01 PM Second string execute a solid drive ending with another rushing touchdown. Lamar now up 41-14. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 10:05 PM Posted Saturday at 10:05 PM Lamar using almost all second teamers now on defense also. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 10:17 PM Posted Saturday at 10:17 PM Lamar wins 41-14. Cards finish with 256 yards rushing and 177 yards passing. Defense holds to NWST to just 23 yards rushing. Good win for LU now to focus and play well against UIW. Quote

If we ca take care of business nex week in San Antonio, we have set us up for aan opportunity for a great finish! Quote
lu cards Posted Sunday at 12:07 AM Posted Sunday at 12:07 AM If we beat uiw next week it will set up a huge game with sela at home ! Quote
TBonesLU Posted Sunday at 12:54 AM Posted Sunday at 12:54 AM Don’t look now, but ETAMU up on SFA early. Quote
TBonesLU Posted Sunday at 12:58 AM Posted Sunday at 12:58 AM UTRGV killing UIW. Lamar’s close games with some of these teams are making some sense. Quote
geezer Posted Sunday at 01:29 AM Posted Sunday at 01:29 AM Half time in both of the late games. ETAM and SFA are tied, but it looks like SFA is beginning to take control. RGV is up 35-0 over UIW. Next weeks game is very scary as I believe UIW is capable of putting together a really good game against anybody and it will be just Lamar's luck that they do so next week. Quote
geezer Posted Sunday at 03:22 AM Posted Sunday at 03:22 AM UIW outscores RGV in the second half but the hole was too deep. Cards better be ready as UIW has an explosive passing offense. Quote
