Men tip off today at 11 AM.  Shouldn't be much more than a scrimmage, but you never know.  Will be nice to watch how this team develops and where their strengths might be.

Couldn't catch the beginning of the game but made it at about the thirteen minute mark.  Game going about as expected.  At the half Lamar is up 46-26.  All of the guards appear more than willing to take a shot.  The big guys are playing pretty good defense, but offense is still developing.  The redshirt freshman Gambrell is the leading scorer with 16 points followed by Holifield with 15 and three others have scored.

15:30 left in the game and Lamar has held A&M SA scoreless while scoring 12 so far.  58-12.  BB Knight is he one player I haven't seen that I expected to.

Lamar takes on TCU next Monday.  Interestingly enough, New Orleans upset them this evening so next week may give an early sense of the strength of the conference.

ESPN said 7,531 in attendance.  Can anyone confirm?

I know BISD had a day, but that'd be around the same crowd as the Texas Tech win in '08.

Not ESPN--the Lamar statcast.
