Mostly stalled offense for both sides for most of the rest of the first quarter until Lamar throws and interception and McNeese uses a trick pass play to set up a first and goal at the Lamar four-yard line at the end of the quarter.

After getting the ball at their own forty-nine, McNeese executes a good drive ending in an eight yard run by the quarterback for a touchdown with 6:55 left in the half to tie the game at 7-7.

Cardinal defense hangs on holds McNeese out of the end zone on a third and goal from about the two yard line and then block the field goal attempt as the clock runs out to end the first half.  Game still tied at 7-7 with Lamar to receive the second half kickoff.

Our offense cost us all year long. Nothing new tonight. Bad loss. Decent season. Better find a qb or one the of the young ones step up.

Fricking bs play calling.  3 and whatever, in long field goal range. Run up the gut to seemingly setup fg…then punt

2 point conversion try? Shit

why not waste a timeout on possibly biggest play of the year.  Bring in powell for another handoff?

play 5 different runningbacks.?

Somebody please check to see if the offensive coaches have any nuts. It doesn’t appear they do.

As for the earlier comment about QB’s, I think McCown is good. The OC needs to open up the passing game more to fit his strengths. If not, we need a Johnny Manziel (Uugh! I hate using him as an example) type who creates plays out of nothing from what is very vanilla offensive play calling.

Or, we need to improve the OL to the point that even Puddin or I could get at least 5 yards every carry.

Rossomando calls the plays
