FCS Playoff Game vs. Abilene Christian - Who ya got?

Bad news for the SLC, Southeast La lost to MVFC fifth place team Illinois St at home.  SLC teams have to win against these better perceived FCS conferences.

Disappointing to lose the last 3 games and not make even a small splash in the FCS playoffs.

That said, we have improved each of the last 3 seasons.  Not sure if we have hit Rossomando’s ceiling or he can get us to 10 wins, a conference championship, and a playoff win or two. But he has taken us from the hell hole that Blaine Morgan left us with!  I am happy to be here than where we were 3 years ago.

SFA survived and revenged their earlier loss to ACU.  Will travel next week to play at Montana State.

Illinois State just beat powerhouse North Dakota State.  They beat SLU last week.

FCS has been MVFC and Big Sky for multiple years and the Big Sky looks to be in control this year with all three of their qualifiers entering the quarter finals.

Montana State smokin SFA in the quarter final game.  SFA has three turnovers and MSU has three touchdowns off of the turnovers.  MSU up 24-0 with a minute and a half left in the first half.

Surprise SFA goes 75 yards in six plays to get a score before the end of the first half and then receive the opening kickoff of the third quarter and go on a twelve play drive to close the gap to ten points.

Montana State takes down SFA 41-21.

Didn’t see it, but I ain’t unhappy about it. I could give a rats arse about T-State. 
 

On another note, how did Illinois State, with 4 losses catch fire and make it to the semi’s. Someone in Beaumont needs to take note of how this happened!
