geezer Posted December 3 Author Posted December 3 Ladies win opener 67-59. Was a game of spurts as Lamar got out to a lead but RGV came back to tie the game up at the end of one. Lamar outscored RGV by five in the second quarter for a five-point half time lead 27-22. The third quarter was RGV's as they took a two-point lead by the end of the quarter 44-42. Lamar came back strong in the fourth quarter for a 67-59 win. Denley led the way for Lamar with 15 points, followed by Wilson and Olenga with 13 each. Olenga also got 10 rebounds for a double double.
