coachacola Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Joshua Thompson, a senior with a verified 4.39-second 40-yard dash, recorded modest FBS stats (8 receptions, 337 yards, 2 TDs across Georgia Southern and UTEP) but offers speed and punt-return potential to boost Lamar's FCS offense. Quote
coachacola Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 More information about Evan Bullock. He's 6'5 and 220 lbs. He took over as starter in the middle of 2024 and played very well. In 2025, he entered fall camp in the QB mix but dealt with competition and injuries. He started four games before suffering a season-ending upper-body injury in mid-November (during a game at Washington State), which sidelined him for the rest of the year. His 2025 passing numbers were limited (26-of-46 for 243 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs in action). Quote

College Career Houston (2023-2024): Jenkins burst onto the scene as a true freshman in 2023, playing in all 12 games with 8 starts. He led the team in rushing with 99 carries for 464 yards (4.7 ypc) and 3 TDs (all in one game vs. Sam Houston, where he became the first UH player to account for 3 scores in his first start). He added 15 receptions for 81 yards and returned kicks. He earned Big 12 Honorable Mention Offensive Newcomer of the Year and was a Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. He appeared in 11 games, rushing 75 times for 256 yards (3.4 ypc) and 2 TDs, plus 9 receptions for 69 yards. He was part of a deep RB room (alongside Marlon Gunn Jr. and London Montgomery) that helped ECU rush for over 2,200 yards as a team. Named to the Doak Walker Award preseason watch list alongside teammates. coachacola Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Anfernee “A.J.” Crease (often referred to as A.J. Crease) is an offensive lineman for the Texas State Bobcats in the Sun Belt Conference. The 6’6”, 328-pound redshirt junior hails from Tomball, Texas, and has a journeyman path through multiple programs before landing at Texas State. Background and Journey Crease attended Tomball Memorial High School in Texas, where he was a three-year starter on the offensive line. He began his college career at the University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) in 2022 as a freshman, redshirting that season. He then transferred to Navarro College (a junior college) for the 2023 season as a redshirt freshman, contributing to the Bulldogs’ 6-5 record (5-3 in conference). In 2024, he moved to Kentucky (SEC) as a sophomore, where he appeared in 2 games for the Wildcats. He transferred to Texas State ahead of the 2025 season (likely as a redshirt junior), joining the Bobcats’ offensive line. Texas State finished 7-6 overall in 2025, with a strong ground game supporting their success. Crease wears #78 and provides depth/protection on the interior or tackle spots with his massive frame. Here are some shots of A.J. Crease in action or from his Texas State profile, highlighting his imposing size on the O-line: 8 “LARGE” 9 “LARGE” And a recent signing/transfer moment vibe from his path: 1 “LARGE” Crease is known for his prototypical tackle/guard size (6’6”, over 320 lbs), power in the run game, and experience across levels. TexGator Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Great signees. Hate losing the guys we did but the new talent (both on NSD and from the portal) are going to be really good. A few more "big nasties" in the trenches and I'm down for season tickets in the chairbacks. Few things more beautiful in sports than a football team that can just impose their will and eat up the clock to keep the defense rested. A "1-play, 96-yard bomb" is nice... but it puts the Defense back on the field so quickly. Give me an offense that can convert four 3rd Downs on a drive to destroy the opponent's will. 3rd and 2? Get 3. 3rd and 14? Get 15. Regardless of the circumstances... just win. The Southland is proving itself to be a 3-bid league. If we'd beaten UIW or McNeese- we'd have played at home against ACU. Do that and beat SFA- we'd have gotten a bye. We're already elite. Now is the time to take the next step. Quote
