Gals are 6-4. Playing pretty well.  Pitching has been mostly solid.  Bats are coming around.  Beat the orange team from Huntsville Tuesday.

Strange scheduling though, first 20 games on the road

Ladies win the first game of a five-game weekend event at UL Monroe defeating University of Pine Bluff 9-1 in five innings.  Lamar will play University of Northern Iowa and UL-Monroe each twice over the next two days.

Ladies win their second game of the day defeating Chattanooga 7-1. Doesn't look like the pitcher in the Morehead State game is ready.  She is 0-3 pm the year.  Play two more games tomorrow with games against Jackson State and host Southern Miss.

Softball splits their games on Saturday with an 12-0 win over Jackson State and 3-0 loss to Southern Miss.  They will play Morehead State again on Sunday morning to finish the weekend.

Ladies win three of five games over the weekend, splitting two games against Morehead State by winning the Sunday game 6-2, defeating Chattanooga and Jackson State, while dropping the game to Southern Miss.  Overall, not a bad weekend.

Jury's still out on quality of this team.  Based on the pre-conference action it looked like they were improved even though there were big losses to both UT and A&M but after being swept by McNeese over the and a five - o loss at Houston tonight.

Well,we just took 2 outta 3 from sfa…but thats pretty accurate imo, those top weeziana schools are very good.  Uiw, kinda surprising..they lost their ace.

Pitching hasnt been as good this year…same gals, they are just getting hit.  Weve also played a couple of really good conference foes, so we’ll see how that shakes out.   Playing 4 true freshmen in the field.

Ladies keep the streak going with a three-game sweep of Nicholls to get to ten games straight and second place in the conference standings.

Cards winning streak up to thirteen games with a sweep of the Islanders and sole possession of second place in the conference standings.  Next week is a big week for the Ladies with a mid-week game at Baylor and then a series at conference leading Southeastern La.

Ladies keep the winning streak alive with a 10-8 win over Baylor in a mid-week game.  Winning streak is now at fourteen games, but will be put to the test come Friday with a weekend series against Southeastern La who is currently the conference leader and undefeated in conference.  First game Friday is at 4 PM in Hammond.
