These are the operational budgets....

I am shocked that McNeese’s budget is more than a million higher than LU. Hopefully LU’s increases and gets a lot closer to SFA and the cowpokes. A turnaround by Fee would do the trick

Fee's wife is expecting a baby any day, so they have not had the press conference yet as Lamar is letting him stay close to home.  I'm sure they'll do a press conference as soon as it feesible.

Foster left in 1986 and is the last coach that wasn't fired.  His replacement Abatemarco was at Lamar for two years.  I don't remember if he was fired or basically forced to resign after a run in with key supporters.  So, it has been forty years since a Lamar HC left to take a job at a more prestigious school.

Seems like  we alway hire someone at the end of there career vs a  hire like Fee that is just getting started.

I am all about kids and parental involvement. Coaches kids probably always get the short end of their parents attention. Having said all that, do you guys think that while he is not in Beaumont and on the job, this opens up the possibility of him being courted by another school with deeper pockets. Just a nasty thought I had this morning.

The only player I really hope he is able to retain is East.  i'm sure there might be another one or two but I wasn't overly impressed with any of the rest of the regulars this past season.

I haven’t had this much optimism about an LU men’s BB coaching hire in quite some time.  Would hate to see it go awry before it starts.

How would it go awry before it started?
He's posting about it on the socials. I respect him for not pushing to move his wife while she's "late with child"- means that when he puts down roots in Beaumont he's going to want to build something and won't just jump to another mid-major job just because it pays 20% more. He'll give O'Malley the chance to keep him happy in on MLK.

I guess I am being paranoid. Let’s face it, we have very shallow pockets. Fee can’t be flying under the radar of every D1 program in the nation that needs a coach. Praying he gets on campus as soon as practicable and gets started.
