2026 Men's Basketball Transfer Portal

As of today, three Cards have entered the portal.  Lowe and Rob Lee entered during the period available after Brooks was fired and Braden East put his name in early this week after the NCAA Tournament finished.  I hope all three find what they are looking for, but I really hope East will return to Lamar.  I have major doubts that he will return though.

Sanders is staying according to an earlier story. The only 2 left that haven’t graduated or transferred are Barrs and Thomas.

Another JUCO player committed to Lamar.  He had offers from SFA, Louisiana Tech, New Orleans, Jacksonville State, WKU.

I saw Braden East is headed to Houston.  Hope the best for him as that is quite a jump in my opinion.

Reed averaged 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds, shooting 37% at Iona last year.

You never know when a player will have a breakout year or how they will fit into a different system, but other than size, Reed's profile doesn't seem like a major contributor.  May be similar to Bulajic.Bulajic

Does anyone know the status of Knight, Gambrell, Barrs and Ezewiro...and did Lowe, Thomas and Lee ever commit. I believe the transfer portal closed yesterday? Do we think any of these players return?

If a player is already in the portal they can still move, but no one new can enter the portal.

I haven’t seen anything on Barrs either way (staying or going). The rest are in the portal but haven’t seen anything on commits.

I've been looking at various sites and have still only found references to three Cardinal players in the portal.  The three listed in 24/7 portal tracking are East, Lowe and Lee.  If there are other players in the portal can anyone provide any information.  Lee and East have destinations, Lowe doesn't at this point.

Verbal commits is a good source to see who has transferred or who has committed.
