The west side was close to two thirds at the start of the game the east side was about as pictured so if the stadium holds roughly 15k then 8k actual and 9k paid is realistic.

If stagnant is Top 10 in FCS every year with a trip to the playoffs I'll take it. If I was Card fans I would be more worried about being competitive at the level your at than any bright futures at higher levels.

Whats the difference in getting smacked around at this level or that level? Might as well be getting humiliated by FBS Teams. HA

Other schools such as Georgia State has that attitude so why not Lamar. Unless Lamar starts winning it really doesn't matter what level they are playing at, the crowds will suck. The honeymoon period ended last season, now it's time for results.

3 o'clock games suck.kills our tailgating because everyone has kids that play soccer or football.im guessing between 10 to 12k.6pm kickoff would be in the 15 to 16k range.

you were about twice as right.

We have had football back for 3 yrs now. What is the worst team we have had? I think the first two years the teams were about equal. I think this might be the worst team we have had by far.

I think it has pretty much been equal suckage across all three years. Our suckage just moves around from offense to defense to special teams. Coaching suckage seems pretty consistent.

bahahhahahhahahhahahhahahahhahahhahahha

Where was the "best fan base in the slc"? NOOOOOOOO WAY that was 9k

I think you guys have been pumping up your attendance for a while now if you really think that was 9k (not even close). If that was 9k then Sam has had crowds of 25k regularly. The entire west side had maybe 1500 by the third quarter. You guys think you can hop right into the Sunbelt? If your fans arn't showing up for 49 point losses against FCS teams, do you really think they are going to show up for 80 point losses against FBS teams? It fairly easy to see why you lost your program the first time.

BTW thanks for the pounding headache, no exaggeration, the whole game it smelt like a car was over-heating 10 feet away from me. I had no idea what is was through the first quarter til I realized I was basically watching a football game in the middle of a refinery, and you guys wonder why you don't get better recruits. Do you really think the smell of harmful chemicals and billowing smoke (RIGHT NEXT TO THE FIELD AND CAMPUS) is attractive to a recruit or conferences looking for new members? You guys need to move that $hit.

I'm glad I was forced into Beaumont today, it confirms every reason I left that dump and never looked back. Until the next yearly pounding, have a nice one SMELLU.

btw on a more serious note, I really hope that girl involved in the wreck on I-10 heading west lives and makes a full recovery. I drove by the wreck on the way out heading east and I was shocked by the site of that mangled vehicle. Be careful folks.

You could have combines both sides of the stadium at the beginning when the most people were there and had enough room on one side for everyone. Hope you guys have a good rest of the season, Ill be there for your game against Mcneese. Maybe it will be a better crowd then.

Nickels that pic was taken probably near the end of the game. There was alot more people there, than that. home side was probably 3/4s full.

It was obviously taken after the game. I was noting the cancer factory surrounding the stadium.

Home side was never close to 50%. The chair backs were less than third. The tailgate was small (maybe 1/2 size of Sams last game). Your team, including your defense, is atrocious. You people are completely delusional.

You should take notes from JJWooten on how to show some class. Obviously you don't have any class as it shows in almost all of your posts and that's why we delete half of them. You are on obvious and tiresome troll.

Who cares what people in Huntsville do for a living. Not many graduates of SH stay and work at Wally World after they graduate. Only a fool will try and go down the road of who makes more an LU grad or a SH grad. You guys graduate mostly Engineers and Nurses, Sam graduates mostly Law Enforcement and Teachers.

So your saying Lamar graduates are more suited for the work place? J/k man that doesn't matter this is a sports forum and academics are not the reason for this topic. Lamar does produce good opportunities for those who want to pursue them though.

Looks like we're not the only ones with attendance issues this year:

In a season of bad Texas State attendance, tonight looks to clearly be the worst. I guess they can't compete with Wurstfest. #TXST
