Guest CardAmbassador Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I'm thinking about hitting that Butler game up. I'm moving up to the mid-west and Butler's gym is awesome. Would love to see us play UW or the Illini too. Quote

LUSportsFan Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Might be old news for some, but I noticed this on the Beaumont Enterprise "In the Cards" site today (dated 6/5). Lamar to play McMurry in an Exhibition game on either November 1 or 2. McMurry is coached by former Lamar assistant Clif Carroll. http://blog.beaumontenterprise.com/inthecards/2013/06/05/former-lamar-assistant-to-return-to-beaumont/ Quote

geezer Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Much better than last year. Four good non-con games at home. Quote
TexGator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 So, when do we get home games? Campus culture needs more on-campus games, not paycheck games. Quote
LUSportsFan Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 So, when do we get home games? Campus culture needs more on-campus games, not paycheck games. Looks like 14 home games. 9 conference games, 4 OOC games against DI universities (George Mason - A10, UTPA - WAC, ArkState - Sun Belt, Tennessee Tech - Ohio Valley) plus exhibition against DII McMurry. (Conference next to university) Sent from my Android device using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Cplatt Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Well, we cant get any worse. We were the worst team in college basketball (literally) and with the recruiting class we have coming in I don't see it getting any better. So if the schedule is easier maybe we can hand off the worst team in the country title to somebody else. Cplatt Quote

Not that that is good enough, but a huge turnaround from last season. Quote
austin badbyrd Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I guess a trip to San Antonio is in the plans for me... A little Mi Tierra before the game Quote

Guest KNIGHT902 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Can not wait for tip off at Butler on Nov. 9. Plan on being at the game to help the cards to a upset. Was at Purdue last year when Lamar played.Butler is a young team so i think Lamar can win this game plus it is in coach knights old stomping grounds and it will help his recruiting kids from Indiana to Lamar for years to come.Looking forward to being at the game. GO CARDS KICK BUTTE IN INDIANA! Quote

LAZEEK Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Make sure you come introduce to me at Butler. My son and I will be there. We are traveling with the team again this year. We went to Kentucky 2 years ago, and to Purdue last year with the team. Quote

geezer Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I really have moved on, but if others want to keep bringing up what PK did or didn't do, in regards to his scheduling maybe had he littered the schedule with D2 and lower schedules he would still be here which most think would be bad for LU. With say the max non-D1 games and some other games against other poor D1 competition mediocrity might have been accepted for another year or two and where would that put the program. Quote
